Georgia Ann Smith

Georgia, 91, born January 11, 1933 of Ravenna, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024.

Georgia retired from Oak Rubber after many years working in the printing department. She was very active in the Ravenna Moose and enjoyed many fond memories. She enjoyed having family over on the weekends to play cards in her younger years. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.

Preceding her in death were her husband Leroy Smith and her first husband Forrest White along with her parents, Robert and Agnes Mehling and siblings, Dorothy Huff (Mert), Lawrence Mehling (Marge), Gene Mehling (Sheila), Alma Fassnacht (Jerry), Frank Mehling (Diane), and Fred Mehling (Linda).

She will be sadly missed by her loving children, Dorothy Bruce of Ravenna, Judy Scott (Bob) of Rootstown, Dale While of Edinburg, Linda Hill (Dave) of West Farmington, and Rob White (Bonnie) of Wayland.

She was proud of her 12 grandchildren, Richard McClintock, Bridget Wright, Kelly Williams, Elizabeth Scott, Greg Scott, Wendy White, Dustin White, Beverly White, Angela Pruitt, Vince Hill, Brittan Hecker, and Kyle White. She also had 19 great grandchildren.

There are no services scheduled and private family inurnment will be held at Grandview Memorial Park at a later date.

Georgia’s family would like to thank the staff of The Woodlands and Crossroads Hospice for the extra special and compassionate care given to Georgia and our family.
