

She was born March 16, 1928, in Wayne, West Virginia, to parents Mont and Mattie Scott. Hester retired from GE in Ravenna after many years of employment.
She had a vibrant and unique personality. Hester loved to go dancing, often clog dancing. She always made sure that she was dressed for the occasion and enjoyed hosting and going to parties. She looked forward to New Year’s Eve for months prior. Hester also had a keen eye for décor and design, and was a talented seamstress who could sew, knit, and crochet. She was a member of the Palmyra Fireflies, Lake Milton American Legion, and the Palmyra Yacht Club.
Hester is survived by her daughters: Dianna (Russell) McKenzie, Billie Jean (Edward) George, and Rhonda (Eugene) Arndt, as well as her 10 grandchildren and all of her loving great-grandchildren.
Hester was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Betts, her son and daughter-in-law Rick and Terri Betts, and her dear friend Glenn Geist.
Friends and family will be received Friday, October 22, 2021, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM with funeral services officiated by Pastor Laurie Metzko at 1:00 PM at the Palmyra West Cemetery Chapel, 9157 Tallmadge Rd., Diamond, OH 44412.
