James L. Durham

He grew up in Rootstown and resided in Brimfield. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He retired from East Manufacturing.

James was a beloved husband of 41 years to Sherry, father to Jason (Toni), Eric (Tracy), Tabby (Paul), Tony (Brien) and Stephanie, grandfather to Natalie (Jeffrey), Zachery (Samantha), Scott, Ashley (Dylan), Hailey, Jay, Allison (Anthony), Kourtney (Jalen), Brandon, Devon, Olivia, Alyssa, Tyler, Brady, and Katie and great-grandfather to Jeffrey, Lily, Scarlett, Jackson and Ellie, brother to Sam (Cassondra), Katherine (Benny), Sandra (Butch), Tim, Donna, and Sharon (Scott) and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents Hisle and Minnie (Harold) and sister Christine.

James loved playing with his grandchildren and listening to music with Stephanie. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage, looking at the stars and watching movies. James was a great, kind and caring man! He was always ready to help out his loved ones. James loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed!

Friends will be received to celebrate James’s life at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 4pm until 6pm.
