Jim graduated from Southeast High School in 1967 and then married his high school sweetheart of four years, Margaret Evanitcka, on October 12, 1968. Fifty-five years of marriage followed, leading into their fifty-nine years of a loving adventure together. Shortly after their wedding, he proudly enlisted in the US Air Force and reached the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Jim retired from the General Motors Lordstown Plant in 2008, and was a member of the UAW. He truly enjoyed being at home. Living on a farm, he easily kept busy tending to his garden, caring for the livestock, and working on his tractors. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, computers, and movies, along with being an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife Margaret Faulhaber, his daughters: Melissa Pastva and Tina Faulhaber, his grandson Cade Sharrone, his sister Janice Savage, his brothers Frank Faulhaber III, and Donald (Mary) Faulhaber, along with many loving extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law Kevin Pastva.
Friends and family will be received Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Deerfield Evangelical Friends Church, 1261 State Route 14, Deerfield, with funeral services officiated by Pastor Jody Hill at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Deerfield Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Air Force and Deerfield American Legion Post 713.
