James Frank Henderson

Jim was born in Ligonier, Pennsylvania on June 17, 1951 to parents James E. and Alice B. “Mangus” Henderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. After returning from duty he spent most of his life working as a carpenter. Jim was a kind person who was always helping people. He liked reading and enjoyed going to the movies almost weekly. Jim enjoyed socializing and loved cookouts and get-togethers with his family and friends. Jim loved music, especially rock-n-roll and enjoyed attending the Atwater Congregational Church.

Jim is survived by his children: Joseph (Anne) Henderson and Jennifer (Ryan West) Henderson. Surviving also are his grandchildren: Nathan and Andrew Henderson. He also leaves his siblings: David (Theresa) Henderson, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Fish, Susan (Lee) Rankin and his sister-in-law Patty Henderson.

Left also to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 18 years, Ida Humeniuk, his step-children: Terry (Casey) Bowers, Connie Bowers, Tracey Perry, Jackie (Dan) Bennett and step-grandchildren: Hannah, Michelle, Tara, Sarah, Kendrah, Micah, Oliviah, Kelly, Robert, Sequoia, Amber, Destiny, Holly, Brandon, Zach, Meriah and Meranda. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 25 years, Nancy (Kelly) Henderson, his brother Grover Craig Henderson and step-daughter Bonnie Bowers.

Friends will be received on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Atwater Congregational Church, 1237 State Route 183, Atwater, Ohio from 4:30 until the 5:30pm funeral service officiated by Pastor Rich Hall. Inurnment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery.
