Janet was born in Salem, Ohio, on February 5, 1955, to parents James L. and Arietta (Smith) Pauley. Raised in a large family, she was one of nine siblings. She was a Brimfield Township resident for over 40 years.
Janet had been retired after 20 years as a union carpenter in Akron, Ohio, an occupation she dearly loved. After retiring, she went on to be the head grounds keeper at Roundup Lake in Mantua. Janet thoroughly enjoyed her time there and felt like everyone was a 2nd family to her. In her spare time, she liked to play cards, maintain her surroundings with all the tools she owned, boating and enjoyed being a “snowbird” in Florida every winter.
Janet is survived by her sisters Maggie Mae Reed-Thompson, Dorothy Siembieda and Patty Rook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ottie E. Pauley, Jimmie E. Pauley, Everette W. Pauley, Paul W. Pauley, William M. Pauley and infant sister Betty Jo Pauley.
Per her wishes, cremation is being honored by her family. No services are planned at this time.
