

Jack was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Youngstown, to Susan and John Ferency.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers; four sisters; his wife, Rose DiMaiolo; and stepson Nick Yourst.
Jack attended Chaney High School, and then joined the U.S. Army, where he became a staff sergeant in Iceland from 1945 to 1947. Upon returning, he met Rose, and on Feb. 26, 1949, they got married. They were married until her death on Feb. 1, 1996.
Jack was employed by Chrysler Stamping, where he was a union officer for United Auto Workers. Staying in the automotive industry, he then worked for the E.E. Emery Co., and Hartford Machine.
In 1970, along with his two sons, Jack and Gary, he opened Frank’s Auto Parts, which is still being operated by his sons.
Jack was a 30-year member of the Ohio Automotive Association. Upon retiring in 1991, Jack spent his winters in Siesta Key, Fla., where he enjoyed playing golf and tennis with his many friends.
Jack is survived by his wife, Sue Yourst Frank, whom he married Nov. 11, 1999; sons Jack (Stephanie) and Gary (Linda); stepdaughter Susan (Patrick) Thomas; stepson Gregory (Paula) Yourst; stepdaughter Linda Yourst; four grandchildren, Annie Lloyd, Rachel Aiken, Natalie Frank, and Nick Frank; three great-grandchildren, Victoria Lloyd, Teddy Lloyd, and Giovanni Aiken; along with multiple nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren.
As per Jack’s request, there will be no calling hours or services.
The family requests memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley in memory of John “Jack” Frank.
