John Paul Jones Jr.

He was born March 15th, 1955, in Ravenna, Ohio to parents John and Doris Jones. John graduated from Southeast High School in 1973. On October 28, 2000, he married the love of his life Gloria Gardner. He was employed by Hynes Industries in Austintown, Ohio until he retired in 2017.

He was excited to begin his new journey in fixing and making things in his garage. John enjoyed working in the yard, especially relaxing in his pool after a hard day of work. He loved to talk and tell stories; you'd be listening for hours. Family was very important to him.

John is survived by his children: Maria Shetterly, Amy Almashy and John Paul Jones the 3rd.

Siblings: Anna Crowl, Susan Hopton, Kathleen Bryner, Mary Belloir and James Jones, 3 stepchildren, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Jones in 2024, and his parents John and Doris Jones.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 12pm until the Memorial Service, beginning at 1pm at the Wayland Community Church, 6355 Wayland Rd., Wayland, Ohio 44285.
