He was born December 24, 1922, in Fairmont, West Virginia, to parents John and Gladys (Smith) Tennant. John retired from Car Rack Corp. in Macedonia as a fabrication welder. One of his main interests was working on old cars.
John is survived by his daughter Nancy (Ronnie) Rogers, grandson Brian (Stacey) Rogers, and great-granddaughters Kalie and Kaitlyn Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret Tennant, and his siblings: James, Webb, Mary, Lena, Thelma, Martha, and Delores, as well as his great-granddaughter Erika.
Friends will be received Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St. Ravenna, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
