Josephine Attard Langston

She was born March 23, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late Emmanuele and Carmella (Mifsud) Attard. Josephine was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish. She worked at Kent State University and retired from Longmeadow Care Center. Josephine was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a caring and supportive grandmother. Her legacy lives on through her ten children, who are so thankful for the sacrifices and love shown by their mother and father.

Survivors include her sons: Larry (Mary Ann) of Ravenna, Randy (Mary) of Solon, Blake of Ravenna, Brian (Jane) of Twinsburg; daughters: Deborah (Dave) Rohrer of Louisville, Janet (Robert) Whitaker of Brimfield, Sandy (Mark) Short of Ravenna, Peggy and her daughter Jessie of Stow, Terrie (Mark) Cooper of Rootstown; also survived by her 27 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, sisters: Emma Rentz of Texas, Jean Warren, Melita Grech, and Dianne Maisel all of Michigan, and her brother Johnny (Birtie) Attard of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband Owen Langston, her daughter Loretta Sue Langston, and her sister Rita von Zech.

Friends will be received Sunday, September 19, 2010, from 3-6 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend John-Michael Lavelle at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 20, 2010, at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
