Judy A. Taylor

She was born March 9, 1950 to the late Harold and Lou (Brown) Myers. Judy was a 1968 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School. She worked for Jo Ann Fabrics for 17 years and retired from Kent Parks and Recreation Department after 20 years. Judy was a member of the Christian Life Center in Kent and was a major organizer for “Kent Art in the Park”. She loved to sew, play cards, plan holiday events for her senior family and watch Jeopardy and All the Godzilla and SyFy movies she could find. Judy was also an avid reader.

Judy is preceded in death by her mother and father Harold and Lou (Brown) Myers and her brother Lynn Terrell.

She was survived by her children Christopher, Melissa, Darryl, Wendy and Equilla. Grandchildren: Ashley Taylor, Barbara and Maurice Bayless, Mariaha, SaDaraha and Rhianna Spear, Kiara Taylor and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Joyce (Wayne) Westfall, nephew Jason (Marie) Shullo, and niece, Michelle (Tim) Kline.

Friends and loved ones will be received to pay respects and say goodbye on Saturday, March 6th, 2021 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Christian Life Center at 1972 E. Summit Street, Kent, Ohio 44240. 11:00 to 1:00 receiving friends and loved ones, with a private service from 1:00 to 2:00. Cremation has taken place with Inurnment at a later date. Flowers may be sent to Christian Life Center and in lieu of flowers please send donations to Kent Social Services on S. Water Street Kent, Ohio 44240.
