She was born August 10, 1944, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to parents Harold and Helen (Flocken) Kramer. Kris graduated from Kent State University with her master’s degree in education. She retired as a guidance counselor for Maple Wood Career Center in Ravenna. She continued her career in education as a substitute teacher for elementary school children. Kris was also the owner of the Gazebo flower shop in Aurora with her husband, where she was able to provide countless brides with the flowers of their dreams.
She cherished her time as a Grandma and was so proud of all of their accomplishments. She looked forward to spring so that she could plant and admire her beautiful flowers, and she made it through Ohio winters with her love of bird watching and feeding the outdoor critters. Kris loved animals, spending time adopting rescue dogs and her younger years training and racing horses with Larry. This was their true passion.
Kris is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Larry Cook, her daughter Aimee (Dan) Buckeye, and her grandchildren: Alyssa, Austin, Adam (Mary), and Nick.
