He was born October 19, 1951, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Dewey Merrill and Maxine (Lemons) Hashman. Merrill graduated from Ravenna High School and began working at Dairy Queen. He later worked for Colonial Rubber. Merrill was a member of the Ravenna Eagles and enjoyed bowling, riding his Harley, fishing, and boating.
Merrill was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Gloria Hashman.
Merrill is survived by his sister Debra Henderson, his brother Les Spano, his nephew Brian Henderson, great-nephew Jacob Henderson, as well as his extended family members including his aunt Lorraine Pittman, cousins Barb, Linda, and Sandra, as well as dear friends Mark and Sandy Short.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM with funeral services at 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
