Nancy C. Bachtel

Nancy was born in Ravenna, Ohio on January 23, 1933 to parents Hallie F. and Grace C. (Ward) Delin. Nancy attended Immaculate Conception Church. She was an expert seamstress, making most of her children’s clothes when they were young. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Nancy loved tending her flower gardens and also enjoyed making crafts and working on puzzles. Her favorite hobby was making miniature doll houses and doll collecting. She loved her dogs over the years but most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Bachtel and her children: Vicki (Gary) Jones, Cindy (Kenneth) Swift, Jim (Theresa) Bachtel, Debbie (Daniel) Dobrilovic, Penny (William) Englehart and Merry Lou (Anthony) Gray. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Michael (Nancy) Jones, David Jones, Cassandra Swift, Melissa Bachtel, Zach (Krista) Bachtel, Joshua Dobrilovic, Dustin (Malak) Dobrilovic, Breanna (Cyrus) Jahdi, Billy (Jami) Englehart, Steven (Amanda) Englehart, Matt Englehart, Emily Englehart, Kristin (Eric) Burt and Michelle (Jeff) Zevotek and great-grandchildren: Aiden, Bellamy, Lucas, Liam and Alexis. She also leaves her brother David (Barb) Delin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters: Terri & Nancy, grandson Cory Swift and her brother Happy Delin.

Friends and family will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St. Ravenna, on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 11:00am until the 12:00pm funeral service, officiated by Rev. William Kraynak. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
