Opal Virginia Leuenberger

She was born February 4, 1940, in Brohard, West Virginia, daughter of the late John Delbert and Magdalene “Maggie” (Haney) Bunner. Opal worked as a cook at several area restaurants. She attended St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church and was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #61. Opal was a kind and loving person who will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her daughter: Bobbie (Rick) Trischan; her sons: Ken (Lynette) Hall, Greg Hall and Terry Bryant; step-sons: Tom Leuenberger and Bob (Cindy) Leuenberger; grandchildren: Kerry, Kaytee, Kevin, Richelle, Jacob, Tyler, and Brandon; step-grandchildren: Ann (Steve) Clark, Laura (Rob) King, and Erica; step-great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Alexis and Sharkore; brothers: Ralph (Lorain) Bunner, Howard (Mary Jane) Bunner; sisters: Florence Hout and Mary Barton; sister-in-laws: Marilyn Bunner, Evelyn (Thomas) McCusker, Edna McCort, Mary Ann (Conrad) Storad, Patricia (Rev. Dave) Hicks.

Opal was preceded in death by Robert Hall, John Leuenberger, her parents, her step-son Steve Leuenberger, and her brother Delbert Bunner and her brother-law Thomas McCort.

Friends will be received Sunday, July 25, 2010, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, and on Monday from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Pastor Will Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
