Peggy A. Gibson

Peggy was born on January 8, 1960 in Washington, NC to parents Ishmael and Annette (Boyington) Waters.

Peggy was a faith driven woman who had a passion for serving her lord Jesus, and was a member of the Ebenezer Apostolic Assembly Church in Akron for over 35 years. She loved her involvement in the women’s ministry and the kitchen committee. She was a helper and giver. She loved helping the needy with clothing and food.

Peggy is survived by her children Lee Roberson, Randy Gibson and Tommy (Ashley) Gibson. She also leaves her grandchildren Jeffery Rhoads, Benjamin August and Kasey Gibson. Left also to cherish her memory are her brothers Mickey (Amy) Waters, Ricky Waters and her second parents Pastor Robert and Mary Palmer.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Mark, Donald and Barney Waters.

Graveside services, officiated by Pastor Robert Palmer, will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 1pm. Interment will follow.
