He was born July 21, 1924, in Freeburg, Ohio, to parents Arthur and Lura (Bettis) Taylor. Raymond served in the US Navy as cook during WWII, and later joined American Legion Post 166 in Alliance. Mr. Taylor was a baker, and retired from Fazio’s Bakery in Canton.
Raymond is survived by his children: Ralph (Barbara) Taylor, Teri (Kenneth) Cottrill, and Meri Hamilton, as well as many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Doris Cecile (Thibodaux) Taylor on June 25, 1989. Raymond was also preceded by his parents, son Raymond Earl Taylor Jr., sisters Eleanor Heidenrich and Beulah Steiner, brother Dwane Taylor, and his twin brother Ralph Curtis Taylor.
Cremation has taken place, and graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at 1:00 PM at the Atwater Cemetery with military honors.
