Rex A. Bailey

Rex was born in Ravenna, Ohio on February 19, 1957 to parents Dallas and Wilma Bailey. He had been a press operator at Acorn Rubber in Atwater until leaving for health reasons. Rex liked to be in the outdoors and in his garden where he grew vegetables and huge pumpkins. He liked to play his guitar and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He loved his family, his brothers and he had a huge heart.

Rex is survived by his children: Barbara (Doug Ritchie) Porter, Jack (fiancé Abbigail Brevovsky), Kenneth Porter, and Craig (fiancé Erin Eby) Porter. He also leaves his 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, his brothers: Tim (Linda) Bailey, Kenneth (Kathy) Bailey and his nieces and nephews.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 18 years, Karen, his brother Charlie Bailey and his nephew Kevin Bailey.

Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. where funeral services, officiated by Pastor Jody Hill, will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Deerfield Cemetery.
