He was born January 30, 1955, in Marion County, Indiana, to parents Robert Leslie and Annamae (Smith) Hiatt. He was affectionately known as Mike to his family and friends. Mike grew up in Michigan and attended Oscar A Carlson High School.
Mike loved music. He was a well known local guitarist, and played in several bands including Hard Roads, Badge, Shadowplay and Moving on CLE. Mike volunteered with the Kent Stage and worked with the Robins Theatre in Warren.
Mike is survived by his son Sean Hiatt and his fiancee Hunter Blankenship, as well as his grandchildren: Spencer and Sage Hiatt.
