Robert Bob Allen Hunsicker

He was born September 22, 1947, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Lena L. (Bowen) and William Hayes. Bob proudly served his country as a decorated member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart Medal. He later joined the DAV and American Legion. Bob worked as a truck driver for most of his adult life. He enjoyed fishing, antiquing, and watching TV, especially westerns and crime shows.

He is survived by his beloved wife Amber (Braham) Hunsicker, whom he married on September 9, 1972. He is also survived by his children: Robert Hunsicker Jr., Heath (Diane) Hunsicker, Candy (Steve) Corpening, David Hunsicker, Laurie (David) Salisbury, Tony Hunsicker, and Dustin Hunsicker, as well as his brothers Jessie Hayes and Randy Hunsicker, and his sisters Kathy and Sheryl. Bob’s memory will also be cherished by his seven grandchildren.

Friends will be received Thursday, June 4, 2015, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with Pastor Tommie Nicholas officiating the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Marine Corps and VFW Post 1055.
