Robert Bob L. Wimer

He was born June 23, 1933, in Portersville, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Clair J. and Edna Ruth (Cornelius) Wimer. Robert was a veteran of the US Army and retired as a tool and die maker from the Ford Stamping Plant in Walton Hills in 1994. Bob was a quiet man who was very mechanically inclined. He was always working, whether on cars or at his home, Bob had a difficult time sitting still.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Elaine (Hoffman) Wimer, sons: Gary (Jill) Wimer of Kent, David (Delia) Wimer of Ravenna, and Jeffrey Wimer of Ravenna, daughter Barb (Chris) Hulak of Ravenna, grandchildren: Nick Wimer, Shawn and Logan Hulak, and brother Harold “Pete” Wimer of Portersville.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sisters Dorothy Pederson and Gladys Caven, and his brother Arthur Wimer.

Friends will be received Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM funeral service officiated by Reverend Wayne Enders at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
