Stephanie L. Schmidt

Stephanie was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 23, 1983 to parents Kenneth J. and Joanne C. “Harjung” Simms. She graduated from Ravenna High School with the class of 2001 and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She was currently working at Allstate Insurance Co. in Hudson as a data manager. Stephanie was a loving wife and mother whose life revolved around her daughter Anabelle’s numerous activities of cheerleading, girl scouts, dance, soccer and t-ball and if God would have permitted just as involved with her baby boy Declan’s activities. She enjoyed being a room mother at Lincoln Elementary in Cuyahoga Falls. Stephanie loved baking and fondly got her love of baking from her grandpa Peter Harjung. She also loved doing crafts with her daughter and enjoyed sewing as well.

Stephanie is survived by her husband, Michael Schmidt, daughter Anabelle Grace Schmidt and baby boy Declan Parker Schmidt. Surviving also are her parents Kenneth (Donna) Simms, Joanne C. Harjung, brother Jamie Simms, step-siblings: Glenn Hoover, Jeremy (Brittany) Hoover, Rebecca Hoover and brothers-in-law: John (Fabiana) Schmidt, Jamie (Tiffany) Schmidt and Andrew (Mackenzie) Schmidt. She also leaves her in-laws: Don and Donna Schmidt, grandma Bernadine Garrett and all of her loving Harjung, Schmidt and Simms family members. Stephanie is reunited in Heaven with her beloved grandparents Peter & Joanne Harjung and Jackie Page Simms.

Family and friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio 44266 on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Rev. William Kraynak, will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, March 17, at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
