Susanne W. Worden Frank

She was born on May 1, 1923, in Ravenna, Ohio, a daughter of the late Dr. Rollin and Grace Agnes (Pelsue) Worden. Susie was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ravenna and a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving during WWII. She was a strong advocate for people with developmental disabilities, serving on several national committees. Susie was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed traveling, but most of all, she was devoted to her family.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years Burt C. Frank, children: Daniel (Pamela) Frank, David (Georgene) Frank, Katharine (Keith) Palmerton, Steve “Buckeye” (Debbie) Frank, and Teddy Frank. Susie’s memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Shawnna (Jay) Mentzer, Daniel B. (Pam) Frank, Jeffery (Monica) Frank, Scott (Jessica) Frank, Aric Frank, Nic (Liz) Frank, Amy (Josh) Jett, and Gracie Frank Glowicki, as well as all of her loving great-grandchildren, and brother Rollin “Bud” Worden.

In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her son Burt J. “Buddy” Frank.

Cremation has taken place, and friends will be received Sunday, October 21, 2012, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home. Pastor Jerry Kruse will officiate the memorial service immediately following at 2:00 PM. Private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery.
