Suzanne was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to her parents (now deceased) Art & Margaret McIntyre. She graduated from Ravenna High School and then went on to pursue a nursing degree from The University of Akron.
Upon graduation she worked passionately as a labor & delivery RN at Robinson Memorial Hospital for 30 years. She loved her time working beside her fellow nurses & coworkers helping care for their patients and their families.
After retiring she continued to teach childbirth classes at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital as well as the local community. She also assisted The Portage County Health Department with child seat education.
Suzanne enjoyed working alongside her good friend Charlotte Armstrong with doing at home visitations for newborns.
Our dear Suzanne will forever be remembered for her loving hugs, infectious laugh and unending guidance and support.
Suzanne enjoyed pontoon boat rides with her husband Vince, their family and friends, at their lake house on Berlin Lake. While at the lake, bonfires were the norm for Suzanne, with a diet coke in hand.
She loved her family members deeply, along with her special lake friends Ed Harris, Lorrayne Bator, Scott Gabric & Sonya Ezzo.
Suzanne was a devoted and loving wife to her husband Vince Coia for nearly 27 years. She is also survived by her siblings, David McIntyre (Judy), Bonnie Murphy (Hutch), Jerry McIntyre (Merrily) and Andy McIntyre (Lynn), mother to Jason Wetzel and Erin Benavides (David) and Nana to Gwendolyn Benavides.
Suzanne is gone from sight, but she will never be gone from our hearts and her memories and love will forever be cherished.
