He was born June 11, 1924, in Spencer, W. Va. the son of Scott and Linda Lowe.
Waitman was retired from a long career in slate and tile roofing. He enjoyed his work life and especially all of the customers and acquaintances made over the years.
He is survived by his children: Mike Lowe, Richard (Patty) Lowe, Gary (Angie) Lowe, Sharon Davis, and Sandy (Bob) Garretson. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Surviving also are his brothers: Shirley, Ivan, and Bill and several loving nieces and nephews.
Waitman was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruby, his son, Robert and several brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. and also from 11:00 A.M until the 12:00 P.M. funeral service officiated by Matthew Lowe on Thursday, November 18, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
