William was born in Trafford, Pennsylvania on December 8, 1924 to parents Robert and Elizabeth Kirschner. He had been retired from the Ford Motor Company where he had been a machine mechanic. William was a hard worker, spending long days at the Ford plant in Cleveland then returning home to continue working on the farm. He enjoyed being outside. William was a member of the UAW and enjoyed his associations along with his late wife Dorothy at the VFW, Eagles, Elks and Moose clubs, both locally and in Florida where they had spent 20 years in retirement.
William is survived by his children: Jerome Kirschner, Ruth (Dave) Craft, Chris (Rob) Hively and Cindy McCullough. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many loving great-grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy and his son Mark Kirschner.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.
