Baird of Roselawn, Ohio, and the late Edgar “Eddie” Baird of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Junior was a proud and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews; Peter, Sharon, and the late Marcus Lapp (Shirley's children), Stephanie, Coreena, Brian “Ray” Latchford and Johnathon(John's children), Sterling and Joshua (Sondia's children), Amy Dickerson (Moore) and Tricia Moore and John Baird-Dewald (Rennia’s children) and Tiffany, August and Timothy "Timmy" Chaffee (Melinda's children).
Junior was a cherished and adored great uncle of; Elish and Hunter Lapp (Peter's children), Aliyah Begley, Rylee and Avery Dickerson (Amy's children), and Aushalei, Aurielle, Aureinne and Julius “Jewels” Moore who called Junior “Daddy Jew Jew” (Tricia's children). Junior is also survived by several loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Brothers-in-law, and so many friends.
Junior had a warm heart, great soul and he was strong but very sensitive as well. Even if he was in severe pain he would smile, laugh, flirt and walk anywhere at any time to visit or help others no matter what. Junior was always thoughtful and giving and he never met a stranger!
As a driver by trade, Juniors passion was to make sure everyone got their furniture on time and unscratched. He loved life, music, dancing, camping, boating, fishing and the outdoors. Junior longed to go back and live in Florida near the ocean to capture the beauty, warmth and sunshine.
Junior loved the simple and more meaningful things in life; laughter, joy, peace, and time spent with family and friends.
Juniors love for the Native American culture, traditions and the Appalachian Indians he was given the name of “Wandering Bear” from the Three Spirit Clan. Whenever he could go on vacation Junior would visit his Indian family and the tribes. Wandering Bear was always welcomed and loved. One located in Cherokee, North Carolina held his heart as he joined in, embraced the Indian cultures and watched, listened, respected and felt closely connected to their spirit. Junior loved God and felt the Holy Ghost move him as well as the Native American culture beliefs, philosophies and ceremonies which he respected. Junior emerged from a way of life that emphasized harmony and balance, and a respect for the earth and its inhabitants. Junior embraced concepts that included all things, and all people, in the circle of life and that point the way to learning how to live in peace and harmony; able to give and taking only what is needed. Junior seen that love and service is a great human responsibility, which will make this world a better place in which to live for our children and the generations that follow them. Like our native ancestors, Junior had a great love for the land and for the earth, hope, and optimism and searched for the proper place in the natural order of things, knowing the importance of balance and harmony.
Wandering Bear is now a free man to wander and walk freely, without pain through the green fields of heaven and enjoy all of her beauty with God, the Holy Family, our Mother Shirley, who was also his best friend, our Father, George, our Sister Patricia “Pat”, our loving Brother Eddie and all of his loved ones who’ve moved forward to a better place.
Junior will be greatly missed, but never forgotten and his last words were “it will be alright”. Our "Jew Jew" was carried to heaven on the Eagles wings holding the hands of our heavenly Angels and is now in comfort with God and everyone that awaits him in heaven.
God bless you Junior and always remember we love you so much.
Love,
John, Rennia, Sondia, Melinda and all your family and friends.
