My heart is heavy at such a loss. He brought joy to many through his music. Sweet man with a lovely heart. We will miss you. Blessings to your family.

I am five years older then George, but got to know him thru my brother Jerry who  graduated with George, we all lived in South Norwood during a great time to grow up RIP.  Prayers are with the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I've known George since the Modulaters  emerged. They played at my wedding, and people talked about it for many years. I haven't seen George in a while, but he will be greatly missed, hats off to you George, may you rest in peace....

I remember George as far back as Sharpsburg. Talented guy who will be missed.

A big drum roll for George...I knew him for years,as I played in various bands. We only hooked up once. I was also the drummer for Arrogant Erroll and the only song I remember from Soho Underground is the Mike D'Abo, Handbags and Gladrags (Rod Stewart did a cover). Thinking of you makes me smile. You will be missed.

Very sorry for your loss, just heard about George. I dated George through High School and some thereafter.  Haven't seen in him several years but kept tabs through mutual friends.  I heart goes out to his family.

I had the privilege of playing bass for George in The Juke Daddies.

George gave me guitar lessons in 1968 when I was 11 years old.  He taught me my first Beatle's songs.  His music touched many and will continue play.

I played drums with George in the band Arrogant Erroll at the SoHo Underground back in the early 70s. He was a great entertainer and good friend. I also saw him with The Modulators much later. I will miss him

I remember a 70's New Year's Eve gig...Barb and I were staying home, he offered to take us along. I ironed his shirt, and Barb was accessorizing. There was a 3 piece suit and she got the right pocket watch involved. He was a thing of beauty when he left the house. He embodied "cool" for me. RIP George.

George and I were able to renew our friendship a few years ago. We would sit together at skyline In Norwood and talk.   We shared dreams that we each had.  He stopped going there when they would not let him smoke. A great man with a great heart.  I know he is making music somewhere! Rick HOSTERMAN

I remember when we first met and you were bemused when I said you looked like Glenn Miller. But all bets were off once you started to play. Thanks for rockin' this town for all of the decades that you did; we needed it.

I'll never forget the first time I played with George in the basement of Sharpsburg School. God only knows how long ago that was. Some the happiest times of my life. We'll all miss him. I know you're still making music somewhere George, and keeping the crowds on their feet.

Diane was in my graduating class and George was in my husband's, Bobby Mathis. Bobby lost his fight with Parkinson's and complications from Agent Orange. Bobby was in a rival band The Mal Contents and George was a rival guitarist. My prayers are with the family.

I met George and his family while in the 5th grade at Sharpsburg Elementary.  He lived about one block from me and we became close childhood friends.  Lots of childhood memories.

As a Catherine Ave child, I used to sit with Barb Haggis and peer down the basement window to watch George hold band practice...he would yell at us to go away...lol...Loved watching him much later in life playing with the Modulators.

George used to call and we'd chat.  I  called him a hipster and he seemed to enjoy that.  His playing was very nuanced and rhythmic; great feel.

George was a friend, who always was kind. RIP

George was the first person I every saw play guitar live on Catherine Ave in Norwood...he was always such a nice guy and a great musician.  Loved watching him play with The Manhattans at the Norwood dances in the 60's and then over the last few decades with the Juke Daddys.

George was a great guy and a fantastic musician. He was best man in my brother Terry Moore's wedding. He loved music and it showed no one could sit still when he played. One of my favorite original songs of his was/is "I am no slave to Fashion" He was also very proud of his Greek heritage. It was a honor to call him a friend. The Moore family all loved him.

Watched the "Manhattans" play in the UAW hall on Norwood Ave. in '66 Best band in Town.

I was a fan and friend of George's for at least 40 years.  He was a good entertainer and a nice man.  My sympathy to his family.
