

Sister Marjorie Mary Kramer (Margaret Aloyse), a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, died on November 18, 2010, at the age of 89 in the 67th year of her religious life. She was born on June 7, 1921, in Dayton OH to Arthur and Eloise Kramer. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Kramer Tiefert. She is remembered with love by her nieces and nephews of the Tiefert family and by many cousins and friends. Sister Marjorie spent eighteen years of dedicated service as a teacher at Mt. Notre Dame Academy, Cincinnati OH; Notre Dame High School, Hamilton OH; and Julienne High School, Dayton OH. For thirty-five years she served as librarian at Summit Country Day School, Mt. Notre Dame Convent, and Mt. Notre Dame Health Center. Simultaneously with her library work, she enjoyed connecting missionaries to friends and family members through her short-wave radio ministry. She will be remembered for her gentle smile, her interest in all of life, and her desire to give service wherever it was needed. The visitation will take place on Monday, November 22, at Mount Notre Dame Health Center, 699 E. Columbia Avenue, Cincinnati (513-821-7448) from 12:30 – 1:45. The Mass of Christian Burial service will be celebrated in the Health Center chapel at 2:00, followed by interment in the community cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Retirement Fund of the Sisters of Notre Dame, 701 E. Columbia Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45215. Schmidt-Dhonau-Kucner Funeral Home is responsible for the arrangements.
