Anna (Farina) Sottosanti, 78, entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Berks Heim Nursing Home. Born November 23, 1942 in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Sebastiano and Nunziata Farina.
Deep in her faith, she was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Anna worked as a skilled seamstress for most of her life and could sew anything from a wedding dress to a men’s suit. She was a wonderful cook and loved working in her yard. Family was the center of Anna’s life and she treasured spending time with her loved ones.
Anna's spirit will be carried on by her sons Carl Sottosanti and his wife Deborah; Sebastian Sottosanti and his wife Amy, both of Exeter Township; brother Giuseppe Farina, of Mohnton; and her granddaughters, who were the light of her life: Julia, Anna and Jeanna Sottosanti. Anna also leaves behind a very close group of in-laws and many friends to cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Anna was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband Giuseppe Sottosanti, with whom she shared 39 years of marriage before his passing in 2002; brother Gaetano and sister Maria Farina.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, Reading. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the viewing and Mass of Christian burial at St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church will be private.
The Sottosanti family offers a special thanks to relatives and caregivers for their compassion, friendship and skilled assistance, and for making Anna comfortable in her most difficult times.
