

Calogera Bruno, 76, of Reading passed away March 10, 2014 in Kindred Transitional Care. She is survived by her husband, Michelangelo Bruno. Calogera was born on August 25, 1937 in Sicilia Delia, Italy, a daughter of the late Liborio and Rosa (Salamone) Strazzeri.
She was a member of Holy Rosary RCC and was owner/operator of Italian and French Pastry Shop and also worked at Oritsky's as a sewing machine operator.
In addition to her husband, Calogera is also survived by her son, Giuseppi Bruno of Reading; her 2 daughters, Grace Messersmith of Bernville, Rose Dobson of Shillington; 2 brothers, Joe Strazzeri and Giocomo Strazzeri, both of Atlantic City, NJ; 2 sisters, Gina Ievoli of Germany and Giovanna Catalano of Venezuela; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday March 17, 2014 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary RCC, 237 Franklin St., Reading. Entombment to follow in Gethsemane Mausoleum. A viewing will be Sunday, March 16, 2014 4-6 p.m. and Monday 8:30-9:30 a.m. in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home 247 Penn St., Reading. www.theocauman.com.
