Dr. Claire Morris Eberwein

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Eberwein, on January 24, 2021. Born in Reading on January 18, 1928, a daughter of the late William Arthur and Ermanie M. (Davis) Morris. Claire received her bachelor's degree at Kutztown University and her PhD and master's degree in education at the University of Pennsylvania. She served as a professor in education/literature at the University of Cincinnati, OH. After her retirement in Cincinnati, she returned to Reading, PA.

Claire will be greatly missed by her nieces, Charlotte Zabinski, Carolyn Keifer, Sheila Morris and nephews, Arthur W. Morris, David Morris, and step grandson, David Story. Also surviving are numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Claire was also predeceased by her nephew, Robert Morris, and her siblings, William R. Morris, and sister Jane Zaffiro.

A Gathering of friends and relatives will be Monday, December 15, 2025, from 11-11:30 am in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 390 W Neversink Rd Reiffton, PA 19606 with a memorial service to begin at 11:30AM.
