Clark Alvin Weikel, 91, of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Clark was predeceased by his wife Dolores C. (Kochel) Weikel in 2000. Clark was born in Ringtown, PA., on March 3, 1930 a son of the late Marie and Clark H Weikel.
• He was called Pop Pop by his grandchildren and great grandchildren
• His friends would call him Al, and his nieces and nephews would call him Uncle Al
• He left his favorite job behind, the USAF, when his wife had health issues
• He was known as Chippy, Dad and Clarkey by his children
• He loved to go out to eat lunch at Burger King and Chik-Fil-A, especially with his grandchildren and immediate family
• He was as neat as a tack
• He was bothered when his family wasn’t OK, he really was a family man, he was concerned of where they were, how they were and he prayed for them daily
• He wasn’t sophisticated per say, but he loved his family and also always wanted to know their doings and how they were even when it drove them crazy
• Back 20 or so years ago, it was remarkable how strong he was, he grabbed the heavy end of a machine lathe and helped his son-in-law carry it up some basement steps
• He was a tenacious worker when he set about to do things
• He was very fast, we remember the time he ran down a hill to catch a dog chasing his little grandson Jeremy
• He would out-walk his daughter Debra when she would jog on the high school track
• Into his 80’s he manually torn up his grandson’s garden without getting tired or out or breath
• He liked kipper snacks
• He would turn over and scrape the mower deck and hose it down every time he finished mowing, he was as neat as a pin
• His common sayings were, “Wantin’ and gettin’ are two different things”, and “never saw a roof rack on a hearse”
• God’s Grace is Sufficient.
• God’s Mercy is Sufficient.
• God’s Love is Sufficient.
• He is now in God’s Presence
