Daniel John Ulrich Sr.

Daniel John Ulrich Sr., age 88, of Shillington, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday July 1, 2019, in Tower Health Reading Hospital. He was born April 30, 1931 in Reading, to the late Robert and Queena (Bohn) Ulrich.

Daniel's spirit is carried on by his wife, Catherine Ann (Fetter) Ulrich who shared 34 years of marriage; son Daniel J. Ulrich Jr. and his wife Kathy, of Oley; son Gregory P. Ulrich and his wife Sherry (who also considered Daniel a father), of Reiffton ; brother Samuel Ulrich, sisters Mary Martin and Dorothy Sandridge.

In addition to his parents Daniel was greeted in heaven by; son Howard G. Ulrich; brothers Robert and Richard Ulrich and sisters Gloria Kompa and Queena Pasko.

Daniel is a US Army veteran of the Korean War, where he earned several medals, including the National defense service medal, Korean Service medal with 1 bronze star, United Nations service medal, ROK Presidential unit citation medal and a good conduct medal. In addition, Daniel was employed by Wyomissing Paper mill for over 42 years and retired in 1994.

An inurnment for Daniel will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W Neversink Rd, Reading, Pennsylvania 19606
