Born in Reading on September 5, 1942, a son of the late Paul and Mae (Christman) Focht. David was the owner and operator for 27 years of Focht's Mower Shop in Douglassville until he retired. Prior, he was employed with Firestone for 15 years and in his youth, he worked on the family farm in Douglasville.
David was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Douglassville.
In addition to his wife, Judith; David is survived by four sons: Michael Focht of Douglassville, Robert Focht and his wife, Joanne of Pottstown; Michael Bescript and his wife, Rhonda of Royersford and Stephen Bescript and his wife, Annette of Reading; two grandchildren: Cody and Evan Bescript and a sister: Joan (Focht) Riegner of Douglassville.
David was predeceased by a sister: Marilyn (Focht) Thompson.
A Memorial Service for David will be Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11am in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Rd., Douglassville, PA 19518. A visitation will be in the church Friday from 9:30am until the time of services. Inurnment is private. Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, Reiffton is entrusted with the arrangements.
