Debra Ann Buono

Debbie was born in Reading on January 5, 1959, a daughter of Miriam (Speck) Buono and the late Anthony J. Buono.

She worked for Prospectus Berco for over 20 years and she also worked for Hampton Inn in housekeeping for five years.

Debbie was an avid swimmer and was the quarter mile champion. She liked music and played the guitar. Debbie loved animals, the color red, spaghetti and sausage and watching the Brady Bunch and wrestling on TV. She bowled every Saturday at Berks Lane's in Mt. Penn and enjoyed going to the Peanut Bar in town.

In addition to her mother, Debbie is survived by a brother, Joseph Buono and his wife, Kristina of Fleetwood; half-brother, Michael Roland of Shillington; two nieces, Breanna and Micheala Roland; one aunt, Bessie Schell and uncle, Joseph Buono.

She is predeceased by paternal grandparents, Antonio and Maria (Bodanza) Buono; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Mary Jane (Beltz) Speck; aunt, Rosy Staron and her cat, Misty.

Prayers will be said at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
