Diane Marie Schwar

She was the devoted wife of James K. Schwar for 35 years.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William and Ethel (Emert) Sammons.

Diane was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Reading, where she was a faithful Sunday School teacher of young children. She greatly enjoyed and was passionate about making the Bible come alive for children. She also loved her pets, watching old movies and going on cruises with her husband. She also volunteered with Ascend Hospice and at one time did volunteer work with therapy dogs.

Survivors: Husband, sister Elizabeth Sinisko of Quakertown, brothers William Sammons, Jr. of Tennessee and Charles Sammons of Sellersville, dog Echo and cats Cora, Cuddles and Ellie Belle.

Services will be held in Victory Baptist Church, 1059 Victory Circle, Reading, Pa. 19605 on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. Friends and family may call on Friday from 10:00-11:00 am at the church.
