Doris Elaine Kegerize

She was the wife of the late William I. Kegerize. Doris was a resident of Shillington since 1994 and previously resided in Wyomissing for 33 years.

Born in Yates Center, KS on August 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Roy H. and Marjorie R. (McGill) Dawson Cooper.

Doris attended North High School in Wichita, KS, and received her General Education Degree in 1986 with top grades in her class.

She worked for years as a telephone operator at several Southern Bell/Bell Telephone locations in Kansas, Florida and Pennsylvania. Doris worked as an operator at Boscov’s in the 1960s and John Wanamaker of Wyomissing in the 1970s.

Doris loved roller skating with her husband, family, and friends. She enjoyed playing card, board and word games, shopping and reading mysteries.

She leaves a son, Roy W. Kegerize and wife Michele of Kutztown; a daughter, Carol A. (Kegerize) Landis and her husband, Greg of Sellersville; two grandsons, Jonathan S. and wife, Melissa of South Bound Brook, NJ and David A. and his wife, Bridget of Perkasie along with a great grandson, David A., Jr.

Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Doris E. McCann and her husband, Dave of Perkiomenville.

A Memorial Service for Doris will be on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11am in Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton, PA 19606. Family and friends are invited to gather in the funeral home on Saturday from 10 until 11am. Doris will be inurned in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
