Gay Ann (Johnston) Morell

Gay Ann (Johnston) Morell, 91, of Reading, PA passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Complete Care at Berkshire. Born in Reading, PA on August 30, 1932, she was a daughter to the late Theo "Ted" Charles Johnston and Beatrice "Bea" Margaret (Adams) Johnston.

After completing her studies at Kutztown Teachers College (now Kutztown University of Pennsylvania), Gay embarked on a journey of nurturing and supporting her family. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, filling her home with laughter, compassion, and an unwavering sense of devotion.

Gay's spirit will be carried on by her her sister Lyn Vernick, of Chardon, OH; son James "Jamie" Brian Morell, of Redondo Beach, CA; and her daughter Lizabeth "Liza" Kate Morell, of Santa Cruz, CA. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren Jessica and Jason Morell and Arianna Arnett, all of Newport Beach,CA to cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Gay was preceded in death by her husband George Morell; who passed away in 2019.

She was loved by all and will be carried in their hearts ever forward.
