George Hudock

Born in Reading on August 5, 1951, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Adelle (White) Hudock.

He was a 1969 graduate of Reading High School and he was a US Army Veteran.

George was the owner of West Reading Roofing Company from 1998 to 2009. Later, he was employed by Optimum Control Corporation until August 2010.

He was a member of the Cedardale Fishing Association, Kenhorst Fire Company Social Club, Oakbrook Social Club, Slovak Catholic Sokol Home Association. He loved spending time with his family and friends fishing, hunting, golfing and enjoying music.

George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and loyal friend.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Beverly J. (Pierce) Hudock; a son, Zachary D. Hudock of Erie; a daughter, Lindsey S. Hudock and her fiancé, James Mullin of Philadelphia; and a grandson, Anthony A. Hudock of Erie.

Also surviving are three brothers, Thomas J. Hudock and his wife, Patricia of Breckneck Twp., Robert J. Hudock and his wife, Sharon of Bern Twp. and James Hudock and his wife, Ann Quist of Windemere, FL; 10 nieces and nephews, 18 great nieces and nephews, and five great great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 6 to 9:00pm. An additional viewing will be held Thursday morning at the funeral home from 11:00am until the time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
