Irvin Lee Tisdale, 64, of Reading, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at his residence. Born September 19, 1956 in Reading, PA he was the youngest child to the late Sanders and Louise (Bailey) Tisdale. Growing up as the baby of his family, Irvin enjoyed being spoiled by his older sisters and looked up to his older brothers.
Irvin was educated in the public schools of Reading School District and worked at Crossroads Beverage Group for several years.
Irvin loved snacking on Lay's potato chips while watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending quality time with his siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins. However above all else, he truly treasured his children and grandchildren - as he loved to sing their praises; Irvin had a love like no other for his children and his grandchildren. He was a kind soul who's smile lit up every room he entered. Irvin always made you feel like the most important person when you were with him; like no one else mattered in that moment other than you. Irvin was always ready and willing to help anyone that he knew was in need. If he had a car, he would give you a ride or even if you just needed an ear he would sit and listen to you. He performed many acts of kindness that he never spoke about or wanted praise for doing.
Irvin will be fondly remembered as a godly man who absolutely loved his family. He will be missed by all that were blessed enough to have known him.
Irvin's spirit will be carried on by his daughter Amanda Hernandez and her husband Steven, of Blandon; his 2 sons Joshua Danner, of West Lawn and Quamaine Smith-Tisdale, of Reading; his 4 siblings Fred Tisdale, Ernest J. Tisdale, Loretta Bailey and Sandra A. Haney. Irvin also leaves behind 6 granddaughters; 3 grandsons and a plethora of nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Irvin was greeted in heaven by his brother Tyrone Kelly and his sister Donzetta Cooper.
Family and friends will gather to honor Irvin's life on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601, followed by a homegoing service promptly commencing at 4:00 PM, with Pastor Frank D. McCracken, Sr. officiating.
