

John Walter Case, 82, of Reading, passed away peacefully in the Reading Hospital on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. He was the husband of Brenda M. (Allen) Case. Born in Reading on July 19, 1934, he was a son of the late George and Margaret (Jaminson) Case.
John was a member of the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church parish. He was employed as a machine operator for 26 years with Rohm and Haas Chemicals in Reading.
John liked trains and western movies. He was a huge fan of "The Duke" John Wayne, Charles Bronson and Clint Eastwood.
In addition to his wife, Brenda, John is survived by four children: Jamie M. Case and his wife, Michelle, of Laureldale, Gwennie K. Case of Reading, Anna L. (Case) Loeb and her husband, Glenn Jr., of Reading and Judith M. (Case) Payne of Mesa, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
John is predeceased by a son, Allen B. Case and John's two siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017, in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 322 S. Fifth St., Reading, PA 19602. Family and friends will be received in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601, on Monday from 8 to 9 a.m. Burial in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 322 S. Fifth St., Reading, PA 19602.
