John Michael Kauffman

Born in Reading on June 21, 1954, a son of Mabel I. (Yeager) Kauffman and the late Herbert E. Kauffman.

He was a 1972 graduate of Reading High School and later, York Academy of Arts, receiving a Commercial Arts degree in 1975.

He was a humbly gifted artist receiving recognition from many organizations and institutions. He was a member of the American Film Institute and loved anything Old Hollywood, Disney or Dark Shadows.

John was a member of Immanuel UCC in Shillington where he not only attended church, but lived a Christian life putting others above himself.

He was employed by Grafika Society Printers and later owned Johnny K Graphic Designs.

He is also survived by his sister, Janet M. Husson of Sinking Spring; 2 nephews, Scott and his wife, Heather Husson, of Greenville, SC, and Todd and his wife, Angela Husson, of Coudersport, PA; 2 great-nieces; and 2 great-nephews.

John was predeceased by his brother, Gary E. Kauffman.

Services will be Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 1 p.m., in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be Thursday, 12-1 p.m., in the funeral home.
