John David Oberlin

He was born in West Reading on August 17, 1941 a son of the late John and Virginia (Funke) Oberlin and beloved maternal grandparents Oscar A and Margaret (Schickling) Funke.

David was a 1960 Exeter High School graduate and attended Albright College. He was employed by PA Department of Transportation in highway maintenance for 43 years retiring there.

Surviving are his cousins; Michael Levengood, Richard Levengood, Marcia Basarab, Christina Lutz, Thomas Ricker, Richard Funke, Michael Funke, and James Funke. Also surviving are his caregivers Ross Lloyd and Phil Hite. He will be missed by all.

David was predeceased by his brother Stephen Oberlin.

A celebration of David's life will be Saturday July 30, 2016 at 10am at Hearthstone at Amity, 139 Old Swede Rd., Doulgassville, PA 19518. (Rt. 662). Burial will be private in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
