

John Maynard Reichardt, Sr., 75, of West Reading, passed away peacefully in Aria Health Center, Philadelphia on Friday, March 18, 2016 surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of Roxanne (Schilling) Reichardt.
Born in Reading on December 20, 1940, John was a son of the late John F. and Arra Lucille (Carl) Reichardt. John joined the US Army in 1959 and served until 1961.
He was employed for over 25 years with the former Graco Inc. as a tube mill operator until retirement in 2006. John was a member of the Koinos Community Church in Sinking Spring.
John loved to golf! He was so proud of his Hole in One at the Willow Hollow Golf Course. He was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball, softball and basketball.
John was a family man. He looked forward to vacations and travel with them. His eyes lit up when his grandchildren and great grandchildren entered the room. He was so proud of his two grandchildren, Hayley is the USA Weightlifting Junior National Champion in her weight class and Tanner is the USA Weightlifting Junior National Runner Up in his.
In addition to his wife, Roxanne; John, Sr. is survived by six children, John M. Reichardt, Jr. and his wife, Julia M. of Exeter Twp., Christopher S. Reichardt and wife, Christine M. of Leesport, Stephen D. Reichardt and his wife, Carol A. of Mohnton, Teresa M. Reichardt and her wife, Lori A. Witmer of Denver, Christine A. (Reichardt) Guistwite and her husband, Todd A. of Leesport and Eric V. Reichardt and his wife, Kimberly A. of Denver; eight grandchildren, Tiffany, Wyeth, Tanner, Hayley, Aubrie, Arie, Jordan and Madisyn; three great grandchildren, William, Ryan and Gabriel.
Also surviving are two brothers-in law, Alan Daughtry and Daniel Henn.
John is predeceased by two sisters, Barbara (Reichardt) Daughtry and Nancy (Reichardt) Henn.
Services for John, Sr. will be at 10am on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 to 10am. John, Sr. will be entombed in the mausoleum at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
