Joseph N. Marshall II, 65, of Exeter Township, entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 9,1958, he was a son to the late Joseph Nathaniel Marshall Jr. and Freda (Miller) Marshall.
Joseph spent 27 years as a Correction Officer, at SCI – Graterford. Throughout his career, he exhibited exemplary professionalism and a steadfast resolve to maintain order and justice. His colleagues remember him fondly for his unwavering dedication and his willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was watching football, basketball, horse racing, bull riding, boxing, or baseball. His enthusiasm for sports was infectious, and he could often be found eagerly cheering on his favorite teams. In addition to his love for sports, Joseph enjoyed traveling and going fishing.
Those who knew Joseph understood that he had a remarkable sense of humor, always ready with a joke or a witty remark to bring smiles to the faces of those around him. Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work. He will be missed by all blessed enough to have known him.
Joseph's spirit will be carried on by his wife of 27 years, Dorrie (Nicholson) Marshall; his daughter Miranda Harris; his 3 sons Joseph Marshall, Marselus Marshall and Matthew Marshall. He also leaves behind his uncle Fred Miller, his 2 aunts Pauline Miller and Geraldine Hamlett, his 2 cousins Michael Williams and Eugene Hamlett and 4 grandchildren to cherish his memory.
