Joseph Thomas Settle

Born in Philadelphia on June 10, 1943, Joe was a son of the late Thomas H. and Agnes M. (Reynolds) Settle. In 1963 he entered the US Army and served during the Viet Nam War until he separated honorably in 1969.

Joe was employed with Kauffman Roofing in Fox Chase as a roofer for over 30 years before he retired.

In addition to his wife, Ruth; Joe is survived by a daughter, Carolyn A. Smith and her husband, Bosacio Moreno; three grandchildren, Johnny Bradio, Joseph Smith and Mellissa Smith and four great grandchildren, David Casgita, Kail Rivera, Hayden Rivera and Kady Smith.

Also surviving are a brother, Barney Settle and his wife, Barbara; a sister, Elizabeth Hararoski; sister-in-law, Faye “Linda” Settle, 11 nephews, Adam, Ronnie, Eddie, Tony, Brian, Pat, Billy, Mike, Eddie, John and Kevin and 11 nieces, Barbara, Dawn, Margaret, Ann, Loretta, Mildred, Denise, Debbie, Sherri, Jolene and Janelle.

In addition to his parents, Joe is predeceased by three brothers, Thomas, John and James Settle and two sisters, Ruth Settle and Ruth (Settle) Welsh.

A graveside service for Joe will commence at 1pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville where Military Honors will be accorded.
