Kenneth M. Stalnecker, 86, passed away February 22, 2014 in Praxis Alzeheimer's Facility. His wife, Jean (Stoltz) Stalnecker, passed away October 18, 1998 whom he married on May 15, 1949 and traveled the world with her. He was born in Reading on September 10, 1927 a son of the late Andrew and Marie (Schneider) Stalnecker.
Kenneth was the youngest of 12 siblings and he graduted from Shillington High School where he was a football star. He was a Navy veteran of WWII where he was decorated for heroism and bravery. Kenneth was employed by Car Tech as a lathe operator for 30 years retiring in 1979.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan M. Reiter of Wyomissing; his son, Allen W. Stalnecker of Shillington; his daughter, Gale A. Stout of Bernville; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, February 28, 2014 at 2 p.m. in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home 390 W. Neversink Rd. Reiffton. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
