Lawrence "Larry" Paul Blachman,87, of Exeter Township, entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Born in Reading, PA on November 24, 1936, he was a son to the late Paul Arnold Blachman and June Virginia (Ebbert) Blachman. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Blachman and his beloved wife Evelyn "Evie" Patricia (Edmonds) Blachman.
A graduate of Reading Senior High School’s Class of 1954, Larry went on to serve his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Though he rarely spoke of his time in the military, his service reflected his steadfast commitment to duty and country.
Larry's professional life was marked by dedication and excellence. For 46 years, he worked as a process engineer with Polymer Corporation. Following the company’s closure in 1999, Larry continued to contribute his expertise at Quadrant EPP until his well deserved retirement.
While Larry’s career was remarkable, his true passion was his family. He was married to the love of his life, "Evie", for an incredible 64 1/4 years. Larry’s devotion to Evie was unshakable; even after her passing, he kept her memory alive by carrying a cherished photo of her in his wallet—a small but profound reminder of their enduring bond. As a father, Larry loved his son Jeffrey. Despite the heartache of losing him, Larry’s love for his family remained steadfast. In his later years, he found joy and purpose in caring for his beloved dachshund, Dominic von Weberschlösschen, affectionately known as "Little Nikki." Nikki was more than a pet; he was his loyal companion, bringing him comfort and happiness as they navigated life together.
Larry's spirit will be carried on by his brother Craig Blachman and his cherished dachshund Dominic von Weberschlösschen "Little Nikki".
Larry will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Memorial Park, reunited with his beloved Evie and son Jeffrey, where they will rest together in eternal peace.
