August 17, 2002. Maria was born in New York City on May 28, 1926, a daughter of the late Francesco and Anna (Spatafora) Filangeri.
She was a loving, selfless and wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Maria is survived by her children: Joseph O. and his wife, Denise Persico, of Edison, N.J.; Marilyn and her husband, Steven W. Peuquet, of Kennett Square, Pa.; JoAnn and her husband, Robert Graceffo, of Delray Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.
Memorial Masses are being planned for New Jersey and Florida.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Care Assurance Fund of Tel Hai Development, Inc. at Tel Hai Retirement Community, Office of Development, P.O. Box 190, Honey Brook, PA 19344 in Maria’s memory. Theo C Auman Funeral Home, Reading, Pa. is entrusted with her service.
